PicMonkey & Ribbet

June 24th, 2012
Just wondering if anyone has heard whether Ribbet is going to be included in the editing capabilities when you post a photo along with PicMonkey? It is so nice having Ribbet, the new version of the old Picnik available again. This would give us a choice between the two if you want to sign up for their premium packages. It won't be long until we will need to buy the extra PicMonkey editing tools, and though it is a good program, there are some issues that they need to work out, unless of course it is my computer causing the problems. I have been experiencing some annoying problems with PicMonkey where screen freezes, the uploads freeze for awhile, sometimes you need to exit out and start all over. It's just a bit annoying, so hopefully PicMonkey is able to iron out some of those little problems if indeed it is related to their program. It really is a pretty nice editing program. @The365Project.

I am having the same problems with picmonkey. Thought it was my computer as well.

I am enjoying the ability to choose between these 2 and iPiccy. I have not had problems with any of them on my Mac.

Picmonkey doesn't like safari for some reason....it always works fine for me in google chrome on my mac. I love the fact Ribbet is back (Picknik's new reincarnation)...but do love Picmonkey, like Alison, happy to be able to use both, along with Snapseed which I also love

I was working between pic monkey and pixlr yesterday and pixlr won just because it was faster.

I've not had a problem with picmonkey but would welcome the choice

I'd be interested in knowing what browser people are using when using Picmonkey. I have no problems at all... it works smoothly for me all the time and I use Google Chrome.

Can we only use picmomkey on photos we post on 365? I also use Picassa 3. Photoshop is too much for me. I can't figure it out.

@digitalrn Rick, I have never had trouble with picmonkey...I keep reading everyone saying how slow it is and crashing...maybe once I have had that. I get on the internet not with Internet explorer, but with Mozilla Firefox. That may be why I am having fewer troubles...Firefox almost always works better than IE as far as getting virus, things trying to pop up, etc...

@jsw0109 @espyetta I do use IE, and have had problems before, I was told once before to use Firefox. Will need to look into it.

@jsw0109 I've been using Firefox and haven't had any problems with Picmonkey, iPiccy or BeFunky. I wasn't having problems with Ribbet when its appearance was first posted here, but for the last 24 hrs. it has not wanted to upload the first time through (even though I signed up for it). It seems I just have to cancel it and then try again and it's fine. I'm assuming they're working on something and that's why it's not going through. But with Picmonkey being so similar I'm not too concerned.

@digitalrn I haven't had any problems Rick- but like MaryBeth, I use Firefox.

I use google chrome and I've had no problems with picmonkey although when I use it through the ACE sections of 365project it is a lot slower.
