Top of your wish list?

September 2nd, 2012
Birthdays and Christmas are approaching so I am dreaming up a wish list. After seeing some stunning shots on here taken with a Nikon AF nikkor 50mm f/1.8D Lens I think that is top of my wish list. What are you wishing for?

September 2nd, 2012
World peace!!!!! but on a camera thinking subject. More time in the day to shoot, upload, edit, and go through all of your shots and make comments for my 365 friends. But I'd love a wide angle lens of some kind.
September 2nd, 2012
The Sony Alpha G Series 80-400mm zoom with Carl Zeiss Optics :-)

September 3rd, 2012
Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 USM

AND/OR

Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro

I plan on buying at least one of those as a present to myself once I graduate from my degree. :D
September 3rd, 2012
@pocketmouse Those are both awesome lenses! I have the 100mm f/2.8 macro L, and the 24-70mm is on the top of my list. We have one at work that I occasionally borrow and I'm in love!
September 3rd, 2012
Near the top of my wish list is either a Noct-Nikkor 58mm f/1.2 AI-S or a UV-Nikkor 105mm f/4.5s... The next lens I'll probably end up picking up will probably be the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM.
September 3rd, 2012
i have plenty of cameras, just need more time to use them.
September 3rd, 2012
Nikon 7000 or Nikon D5100
September 3rd, 2012
Time.

Or a 10-20mm wide angle lens!
September 3rd, 2012
I'd love to have a professional grade super telephoto lens...something on the order of a 500mm f4.0, or a 300mm f2.8. Maybe if I take out a second mortgage...
September 3rd, 2012
@melissapike :D I'm actually really curious about the 100mm macro... it offers 1x magnification but I am kinda looking for something more, since I already do a lot of reverse lens macro stuff (but my wallet probably won't afford it!), so I'm just curious of the kind of photos it's capable of taking (i.e. whether it's what I'm after) - could you show me a few? :)
September 3rd, 2012
A good telephoto lens to take some good moon and wildlife photos :)

Kim
My realistic wish list:
a new lens 18-300 or 188-200 to replace my broken 18-55 and my working 55-200 (Get so sick of changing lenses!).

My unrealistic wish list:
A Nikon Full frame with equivalent lenses :)
September 3rd, 2012
I would love the Fuji X-Pro1 and 35mm f1.4 (dream). I love my Fuji X100 to bits.
September 3rd, 2012
@pocketmouse Of course! Having seen your photos, it may not be enough for you, but I'm really in love with it (and I use it probably more than I should lol).

September 3rd, 2012
@melissapike Wow those are gorgeous!! :D But yeah as you said, not "macro" enough (the 100mm offers only 1:1 magnification)...

I googled "extreme macro" and it came up with this lens - the Canon MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro (in other words, offers up to 5:1 magnification)...

And here are some examples of photos taken with it (WOW!!!!)

But at almost $1,000, this one will have to wait. xD
September 3rd, 2012
@pocketmouse Oh, wow! That lens is incredible! I think that's going on my wishlist too.
September 3rd, 2012
at this point the only camera item I have on my list is the Kelly Moore 2Sues or Libby Camera Bag. I have seen the sues in action and think they are perfect

@wardie
I want your wish list too.
September 3rd, 2012
@chewyteeth yeah, fab cameras those Fujis
September 3rd, 2012
Realistically? A tripod bag.

Less realistically, a Leica Monochrom. The 50mm Summicron would do nicely (but the Noctilux would do nicelier).
September 4th, 2012
a tripod, and a Canon Eos Rebel T3i, and a good macro lens.
September 4th, 2012
any dslr would be just lovely :)
September 4th, 2012
I wish I didnt have to go to work and earn money to support my photography hobby. I just want to take photos when ever and where ever I want :)

A new camera body (Canon) and of course some "L" glass.

Dear Santa,

I've tried to be a really good girl this year, at times it's been difficult, but I'd like to say I've succeeded.

I would reeeeeeeally like a Canon 24-105mm L lens pleeeeeeeeeeease.

Lots of love and kisses

Jo (aged .... well, you know that already cos you're Santa)
