I showed you mine already ( http://365project.org/slava/365/2010-08-03) ;-) After watching the slideshow, Sue Biz came up with the wonderful idea that it will be fun to to see photos of everyone's home. Kind of putting a place to a face. We'd love to see where you dwell and get inspiration for your pictures! I know Bonnie has a wonderful interior full of light, and our dear Louise spends her summers in a beautiful purple house with a prominet "Lunenburg Bump" ;-) And how about you? Where do you leave all these 365 comments from? The garden, the front porch, the bedroom, the office nook, the dining room table, the desk or the couch? Share a photo (old or new) of your favorite spot in your home! :-)
Looking forward to see what you come up with! I have a whole house to turn into a home now, so I am always after fresh ideas ;-))
I am sure everyone already knows this but since this is the internet and anyone can see your pictures... I would make sure there is nothing in your picture to give away exactly where you live. There are some sick/weird people out there.
This is a photo of my room, it's a lovely mess. =) The colours are blue, green and yellow. My bed is were I spend a lot of time on my laptop, editing and uploading my photo's.
i can't for the life of me figure out how to post my photo on here! grrrr.
anyway, much of the time this is the spot where i work on my photos and post to 365--my comfy bed! (:
@ Slava: The other side of the pillows says "You", I wish I bought two of them, one for me and one for my boyfriend, so I could sleep on "Me" and he could sleep on "You", but at that time I had only one pillow and no boyfriend.. I did saw pillowsheets that said Tarzan & Jane, so maybe I'm gonna buy those. :P
@ Tamara: Now I love the pillow even more!! If I was crafty enough, I could probably make my own, but I am not, so there goes another great idea unrealized... On another note, the Tarzan & Jane pillowsheets sounds great!! if you get them, pictures, please ;-)
@ Dorrena: What a cosy place you've got! I especially love the pink curtains!! ;-))
@ Jeff: How exciting!! Good luck for the move! Looing forward to seeing your new apartment! :-)
@ Christine: Your bedroom looks wonderful! The burgundy accent pillow pulls it all together!
I can't think of a better "First Photo" for your new home! I remember how much I loved that when you first shared it. Whoever printed that up for you did a fabulous job and what a wonderful image!
I don't have any cool shots of our home yet, but here's my facebook album that I started when we bought it last year. Friday will be one year from the day we closed! The album kinda shows the transformation, since we purchased it only 85% complete.
Louise, thank you!! My sister-in-law suprised me with that!! She is amazing! ;-)
@Karen - I'd love to see your garden!! It's a magical place!
@Heidi - what a wonderful home you've got!! I love your bedroom - the blue is gorgeous!! And the Disney kitchen is too cute!! You have decorated the whole house beautifully!! Thank you for sharing! :-)
@ Lameez: what a cool kitchen you've got!! I love it!!!
@ Kris: You've got a really beautiful home!!
@ Jaydee: Looking forward to see what you'll come up with!
@ Bonnie: Thank you so much for sharing!! I am in love with your cosy home!! The decorative pillows are too adorable!! And the kitchen is a special place - that's where all the yummy lemon pie and cookies come from! :-) Wonderful collage!!
Keep them coming, I love seeing how other people live! *blushes* So much better than looking at home decoration magazines, cause it's the real thing! :)
@Lux, what a lovely home you've got!! My most favorite photo is the one of you sleeping on the couch with Mr. Frog - so cute! ;-)) I love "The Kiss" - it makes for such a great decoration piece!! Thank you so much for sharing!
@Jacey: beautiful bedroom!! The big window and the light are just perfect!
Cool thread, Slava. Not good at collages, but I tried to do one. Our house, our stairs, our living room, my desk where I write for 6 hours a day, our girls goofing off in our kitchen after school...and finally, our bedroom! Night, night....
Hi, Chris!! I agree that it's the people who make a house a home...
Your definition of yourself made me laugh! ;-)) The trick to posting pictures is very easy, once you know it. I'll try to guide you through:
1. Choose the picture you want to post from your 365 album.
2. Once you are on it, find the "share" box (underneath the photo and to the right), below the "tags"
3. Click on the long code under it (in the little box) - it will turn blue. Once it's marked, right click on it and choose copy.
4. This done, go to the thread where you want to post the image, and paste the link in the reply box. When you hit 'submit' it will post in the thread and show the photo.
I hope my instructions are clear enough to follow. ;-) If you are having trouble, simply post the link. Loooking forward to seeing your home ;-)
Took this one this evening. I wanted to get the entire front, but my hubby's truck was in the driveway and it spoiled all the photos. I should have moved it. Of course, he thought it enhanced them! So, I am settling for the entrance.
slava! i love this thread! i agree with lux that this is better than decor magazines as they are homes of real live people...i've actually favorite several rooms that i've seen on here to give me inspiration! we are currently redecorating our home, painting woodwork white, going with a more neutral palette...will have to take some pics soon and post them!
Carol, your house is just beautiful!! I love the entrance and the brick!! ;-)) Too funny about your husband's truck ;-))
@Andie: I am so happy Sue gave me the idea for this thread! It's definitely much better than decor magazines! How exciting that you are redecorating!! I'd love to see the finished product! :-)
What an excellent thread! Love it. This is a bit of my living room which I happened to take yesterday. Not too good at housekeeping, but I have a very nice cleaning lady that puts up with me making a mess of her good work every time :-) Don't know what I'd do without her.
But can't keep this older one either from you as it's my pride and joy, the wall mural I painted over the entire length of the downstairs livingroom. One of my most creative weeks of this year.
It's a panoramic collage, hence the weirdly curved wall ;-)
just remembered i did this one back in March too... shows my house in the distance (the one with the white wash around the bedroom window lol) http://365project.org/steveh/365/2010-03-28
I just took these last weekend after cleaning my kitchen and before I put all the "stuff" back in! I don't like my living room because it has to be arranged around the TV which I never watch! And it is shaped funny. Ah, what we do for our men.
WOW, guys!! I love your homes!! Thank you so much for posting! This thread is so much fun! ;-) Thank you, Sue, for the great idea! :-)
@ Raymond: Great job on the collage! Your mural is amazing!! It gives the place so much character!
@ Stephanie: I love your messy desk! ;-) Trying to figue out which book you are reading - the cover seems strangely familiar!
@ Joe: If you clean up for a photo, I bet your wife will be very pleased and impressed when she makes it back home! ;-) Can't wait to see your post! :-)
@ Robin: Your house is a real oasis!! I love plants!
@ Becky: No clean-up necessary! We want to see the lived-in homes, messiness and all! ;-)
@ Steve: your house is beautiful!! I am in love with the windows!
@ Elizabeth: what a cosy home you've got! Thank you so much for sharing!
@ Laerke: Loving the sunflare!! Gorgeous view you've got!
@ Suzie: Your home is so white and bright!! I love it!! Are the pictures on the wall from your 365 album? They look beautiful!! And your kitchen is impeccable!
Haha, I'd have to clean up too. I'm really just a big kid living on my own, so I have a giant Patrick Star on my bed... but normally, this is what it looks like.
Annie, I love all the colors!! You actually got a hamburger phone!! (I loved Juno!!) And Patrick is too sweet!! ;-))
@Dora - what an elegant and stylish home you've got!! Your balcony is just perfect, and the pool looks so tempting!! Are these ottomans with your photos? I love them!!
Okay folks, this is the house I and My lovely bride of 41 years calls home. It was built in 1968 on property that has been her family from a King George III Land Grant in central South Carolina. I see I need to start thinking about replacing the roof!
.
@ Steve: So glad the thread served as an inspiration!!! Your collage is so creative - one of the most wonderful I've seen! And Oscar is adorable, as always! :-)
@ Kelly: Beautiful place with beautiful views!!! Enjoy it! :-)
@ Rev: I love the history of your home! And the roof looks OK to me ;-))
mmmh! This is for me a Big Challenge. I don't have "one" home, because my work (and my life) is a little...gypsy. But I think this is a question to which could answer with a pinch of creativeness...
Denise, your lovely Hawaiian home is a dream!! Thank you for sharing!

However, I'm a real tech moron. How do you post pics on these threads? Seriously. I'll post my home. I guess it means a lot to me in some ways.

See my post http://365project.org/cirasj/365/2010-08-24 for a description.
Chances are I'll get some indoor shots later, I usually shoot outdoors because I'm crazy about natural light.
@Rachel: What a clean and tidy apartment you've got! I love the alphabet on the wall! :-)
@Joe: Did your wife come back home? Your big screen is to die for! I love all the remodelling you've done!

@Helene: Your collection of hats is just lovely! Looks like such a cosy place! Thank you so much for sharing!
@Helene: I like a lot your job
Thanks Slava for your help in figuring this out!
