With spring now settling in here in the southern hemisphere I have noticed a few baby bird pics. I would love to see your cute (but sometimes ugly) baby birds.

Here is mine, a redtailed black cockatoo

I have no baby bird shots to offer, but a little advice, many bird species get extra cautious with us humans, especially around babies and eggs, so in the bird-nerd world it is discouraged to take photographs of babies. Mums and Dads may often abandoned a nest if we get too close and this in turn kills the babies. I do notice that many of these shots are of young immature birds which are already developing an independence, which is a good thing. Would hate to hear of a bird dying because of a nosey Nikon or a curious Canon???
