What happens at the end of the year if you are not an ace member?

Do you have to start a new account to get a new project folder or will it let you add a new one?

I think you can just continue on the same calendar, the number will just keep climbing. I think the only way to get additional project folders is with an ace account.

Grizz is right...you just keep continuing. There are some folks on the site that are past 1000 photos in their project. The ACE account has a few more "bells and whistles" but does need to be renewed after a year. (after a year from purchase date)
