A href HTML not working?

January 2nd, 2013
Have just being trying to add links to my photo descriptions using the "a href" coding. I've never had a problem before but for some reason it keeps adding 365project.org/mizikei20 to the front of all my coded links. Any ideas what's happening here Ross?

Same has happened to me. The 'a href' code also doesn't work at all if the link includes "http"

You don't need to use the href tag in photo descriptions just the url is enough :)

I'm a complete newb, so possibly there's something wrong with what I'm doing... (this is my first guess), but I'm unable to post images to discussions, I get an 'invalid data' box. Possibly completely unrelated to your problem and me being foolishly new...

@iqscotland Yeah I know, but I feel it looks neater if you just link certain words.

@spankyjane Where is the image you're trying to upload? If it's on here then if you go on your photo page in the sidebar there's a link to copy and paste to forums. It's a different problem, but one I *think* I know the answer to. Hope it works for you!

yup, I'm copying and pasting that link, no luck though.

@spankyjane Hm. You're definitely copying the whole thing? It's working for me.

@mizikei20 I know what you mean but it might be as simple as those fields not accepting HTML tags at all. There's a list of accepted tags for posting in discussions but formatting isn't mentioned for descriptions or comments :)

@iqscotland I guess so. It's weird though, I'm sure it worked before! I might be getting confused with Flickr...

I'm copying everything in the link box, but keep getting the response 'invalid data'. Thanks for your advise, though!

@spankyjane i had that problem a few times before. what should work is make a post with just words, then press post reply, and then press edit to edit your post and paste the link. That worked for me in the past.

I've tried copying & pasting that code in the link box & it doesn't work. I've tried every combination I can think of & still get the response "invalid data". It's driving me crazy. .
