I'm new to this project and I really like it. I would like people to view my photos more but I don't have many followers so I was hoping I will get to meet new friends here.
Welcome :) This was posted by @5unflow3r last week and may help
Welcome to the 365 Project! It's a very nice place to post a photo every day, and get to know some really cool people who also love to take photos. Here you'll find many helpful people that share a great interest with you, and it's awesome to have the support of all of these creative people.
The best part of this site is the feeling of community. It takes a while to build up a following and to find people that you'll enjoy following as well. Take your time and get a feel for the place. What's the rush? They'll be here everyday, just like you. And don't feel as though you have to follow everyone back that follows you----follow people whose photos appeal to you. It's all good!
One of the best ways to become active into the 365 community is to find photos you like and comment on them. If you consistently like someone's photos than a great way to let them know is by following them. Also if you love their photo than fav it (which helps them get to the popular page). They will probably look at YOUR photos, comment on them if they like them, and fav them if they love them. The best places to look for photos to view are all under the Browse button at the top of the page. I like to look at the "Latest" option first, then the "New Faces" button. Once you have gotten yourself a few "friends" or people that you follow, then you can click on the Home button and all of the recent uploads of your friends will be there waiting for you.
@endrinaaa I'm following you now:) Take part in discussions and comment on other people's pictures too! Browse the tags and follow people who photograph similar things to you and follow them: most with follow you back. Hope this helps
Hi Endrina. Welcome to 365! Not to worry, as you continue to follow others, post comments, and engage in discussions; your followers will definitely increase. Some times it takes a little while to build, but you will definitely find people with the same photography interests. People will come and go throughout your year, but you'll always have a core group of people that will support your effort and work. Looking froward to seeing more of it!
@endrinaaa I agree with Amy and Fran.. all of the above worked for me and I would like to add... view the "new faces" tag. These are recent people joining the project. They also need followers and encouraging. When I started I looked through the photos and select ones that really appealed to me. I commented and followed, then they checked out my photos and soon I had a regular group of followers.. Welcome to the project and have fun... I will follow
Sometimes, posting a thread with a title like this helps too. And commenting on a thread on how to gain followers, which by the way is what i am doing now since i just started again for my second attempt at this project. ;) checking your photos now. Goodluck to us! 🍻
@endrinaaa Welcome, Endrina! The best way to gain followers is to follow others. Add comments as you go, increase the number of people you follow, and before you know it your own list of followers will be brimmed to overflowing!
@naturalbeauty Fran offers some good advice here, and she's an excellent one to follow as well. (Be sure to check out her Tumblr link, since she posts her best work there. Very interesting compositions and presentations.) In addition to what she recommends, I'm also going to suggest you look for people that shoot subjects and styles completely different from your own. (That's actually one of the primary things I look for when I follow someone.) By doing that, you will increase your range and develop techniques you wouldn't ordinarily think of trying.
Well I will have to follow you as the only different letter in our name is the first one!!! Nice to meet you, have fun with your project, I am finding it addictive!!! ;-)
Check some of the best photos from some of the best photographers at the "Favorite Picture of your Project" link, and follow those folks. I would not try to follow too many at the start, just concentrate on, say 10 new ones from people who post consistently, and remember to comment back when you view them. Don't hesitate to "fav" something you really like. Another way is to ask questions from those people whose shots you admire. Another place to go is where others post their best "fav" of someone else. You can see all these links in Discussions, and to the right of your Home.
Welcome to 365, Endrina. There is a lot of good advice above. It does take some time to get established so just take your time. The best advice I can give is when you follow someone be willing to comment on their shots. Then they may be more willing to follow back.
I'm new here too, don't let the lack of followers put you off, it will build up with time. My little bit of time here has been great and I'm sure I will keep coming back and that the following will grow
I have found that the best way to get people following your project is to start following others on a consistant basis. When you find people whose pics you like be faithful on commenting on them and they will usually return the favour
