As a newbie to all things photography I have had days where just didn't know what to shoot. Just found this and wondered if it would be of any interest to anyone else? Hope it is not repeating lots of other posts on the same topic.
I've got a scavenger hunt going at the moment, definitely worth doing to get the imagination working. The monthly themes work in much the same way ... it can become a bit all consuming though.
Another thing which has worked for me is to restrict yourself - pick a theme and try to exhaust the possibilities. That's what's happening with my on and off series of twists and curls ... I've a feeling I'll run out of titles before ideas.
I cannot tell you how much I have learned by doing the challenges. I just started 2013 adding in the weekly themes. For example, this week's word is PLAY. That could mean just about anything, and could trigger a memory or two.......@andrina

If you're stuck, maybe try out some of the themes or monthly challenges... here's January's Plan 4 Jan:

There's been a few threads before on bucket lists which may prove inspirational:

Next month, I'll be following this site: http://www.daysoftheyear.com/ as it seems like a bit of a challenge.
Once I have a title to pay homage to, the ideas start flowing! That's what I did today: http://365project.org/allegresse/extra-credit/2013-01-15 (2012 painting by the same name, by David Nixon).
