I am involved in a project about a fascinating sculpture in Israel called The Fountain of Tears. The sculptor is incredibly talented and the sculpture is amazing and very moving. The producer shot all the footage in Israel, and I've edited it down to a 30-minute program. It's not entirely finished...I'm not sure when it will be, but I wanted to give my 365 friends an opportunity to view it before I finish my 365 project and disappear.
My versions on dropbox are under 250 mb each and are probably better viewed by right-clicking and downloading them first, unless you have a robust internet connection.
Very interesting how the creation takes on a life of it's own. My pictures often are doing that. Sometimes I feel I have no idea on which direction to go. That's when it takes over. Very interesting discovery of the creative process on this project. What part are doing on this?
The video on the producer's blog started over before it finished. I had the screen minimized and realized I was hearing a repeat. I may check out the other links. What I saw and heard was really interesting.
What a passionate artist and powerful monument! It was thoroughly moving to watch and I was completely engrossed when it suddenly came to an end! I can't imagine a better description of this panel than through the eloquant words of the artist...you've done a marvelous piece of work in your editing. Your interests and aptitudes seem so diverse, but I know this had to be absorbing for you. Thank you for letting me know you'd put this here as it was my first stop this evening and so worthwhile!
brad--i'm amazed. i really can't even put into words how moving and beautiful this piece is. having recently been to israel, i'm so very sad i didn't know about this and have the opportunity to see it in person, but thank you so much for sharing it. what a gift you have, and i'm sincerely blown away by the artist and his sensitivity to the Holy Spirit as he created this work of beauty. please share the completed version when it's done!
Very nice job with the edited film (dropbox), Brad. His sculptures are very emotive and it was interesting to hear him speak about his journey. Where does the film go from here (when you're done)?
@bradsworld Wow what an amazing project to be involved in. Very thought provoking. Really glad I got to see it. Nice piece of documentary work. What type of editing software do you use? I just got certified in final cut pro and like this program a lot.
