yes i do :) i dont know any of the correct jargon others use when commenting , but if i like a shot i like to say so , so that the person knows that ive looked at it and liked it :)
It's always nice to know that someone took some time to look at the pictures and to have comments even if it's a short one, so I (almost) always leave one.
Yes, definately! I love to read the comments on my photo's people leave behind, so I leave comments myself (that's how it works). I don't follow everybody so I can leave a comment on almost every pic of everybody I follow.
I leave quite a few. I learn a lot from looking at other peoples photos, and I want people to know that I have looked at, and enjoyed their pictures. Plus, I have been amazed at the sense of community on here. There is such great support and friendship. I think that you reap what you sew.
I try to :) but I think the people I interract with most know that about me - when I have the time (could be five days out of the week; could be one day out of a month) I try to make an effort to see what's been going on with them.
Absolutely! It's great to give and receive comments. I try to tell the person what I like about there photo in particular and hope that I get the same. It helps us grow as photographers.
not as much as i should...i know how much i like to receive comments, so i really should be leaving more for others....there are so many fantastic pictures out there
not too much.. but I am trying my best to do more.. If I follow someone it's because I like 95% or more of their work which would in reality wasn't a follow deserve a comment from me ( every pic ) so... if I did that I'd be on here for 18 hours a day.
Yes. I know that reading peoples comments on my photos helps keep me motivated. I appreciate all types of feedback. I try to do the same for others who's photos really catch my eye. It's nice to know if your photo is well received (or not.).
I try really hard to leave a comment- I figure the more time I take to comment/praise/criticize other people's shots, then they'll hopefully take the same time commenting on mine. Everyone wants comments on their shots- to figure out what they're doing right and maybe what they could do to make it even better!
I do, but would like to more often. It was certainly a lot easier when I first started, with a few following me, and me following a few. It's something I want to be better at.
I don't always get the chance every day but will do a big catch up. I try very hard to leave comments and I will fav the ones that really capture my eye.
I like receiving comments so I am sure others do as well so figure fair is fair.
Yes, I leave a comment when I see a shot that appeals to me!
And often I follow that person from then on. I only joined on Jan 1 so I´m still discovering many great photographers.
I make a reasonable effort to comment on most of the photos of most of the people I follow everyday or at least every few days . . . If I enjoy their work enough to follow them I kind of feel like it's courtesy to acknowledge that I've viewed their latest work, even if it's just a short observation. I do fall behind, and sometimes have to select only those photos that msot grab my eye . . . but I do try!
I try to comment on photos.. although I often feel like I leave the same comment lots of times; I don't really know much about photography, and there are some truly amazing shots on here. I often just say Wow, I love it.. mostly so the photographer knows I liked it enough to say so, because I know how much I love getting comments on my photos, even if it's just a smiley face, or something short.
I comment on almost all of the photos of all of the people that I follow. I can't help myself, I like this place! Sometimes I randomly comment on a string of photos from someone that I happen across that I don't follow.
I do. And I appreciate comments on mine, so I try to return the favor. I do feel kind of weird randomly commenting on people shots though if they are not someone that i follow. It just feels odd to me lol.
I comment daily on the pictures that touch me most on those I follow and the top ones in the suggestions and the popular page. I try and do the same fortnightly for those who follow me. However, this adds up to 2-3 hours daily. As I am doing a course as well as working and occasionally doing volunteer stuff for the community, it just isn't sustianable to do so much. I am going to have to find a way to rationalise it, so it is more like an hour a day. But there is just sooooo much great work here that it is difficult to be disciplined and not get drawn in. Also, I so appreciate the input I get from others that it is part of the deal for mutual learning to reciprocate.
I do most of the time, if I like the picture or it stands out to me I comment :) I also like to browse the latest pictures and comment on the one that stands out to me.
I also try to respond to the comments I receive because I appreciate all the positive feedback I get! ♥
I don't usually comment just to comment, only if I actually have something to say about the photo. Maybe it was a cool idea, or what they were doing is amusing...or maybe the photo itself is simply stunning.
Yes, I try to be meticulous about commenting on the photos of those I follow, even though it's getting harder and harder. Part of the problem is that everyone takes such amazing photos that I can't stop looking and commenting, even if I have other things to do! Like Miranda, will have to find a way around it.
I don't usually leave comments but mostly because I don't think I'm qualified or good enough to give good input lol so all I can say is stuff like "really nice shot" lol
I do love to receive comments specially if it's ppl that know more than me and maybe give tips or comments on how to do better :)
I try to, but I think I'm sort of lame at it, my wife @araminta is so much better. I think it is a great way of building up a picture of yourself as much as it is strengthening community. Like I said, I'm poor at it and the wife gets it down to a tee.
I try to put positive comments on the ones I like or potentially want to emulate in the future, I also try and say a little more (sometimes) but tend to waffle too.
I try to find something to say about all the people I follow. Or random people if their picture catches my eye. I don't really feel qualified to give advice yet so I just point out something I like and sometimes ask a question.
Since I appreciate positive feedback, I try to provide some as well...even if it's just a simple "beautiful" or "striking"....to me that's a high compliment so hopefully it is to others. ☺
I usually follow those who follow me, and I comment on all the photos that are posted, unless I miss one or two, but I think I very seldom miss one. It does take a lot of time for me to do this, but I feel that everyone deserves to know that I am looking at their work. Becasue of the large amount of photos that I view and comment on, I may not always leave lengthy comments, but what I say I mean, and you will know that I looked at it. It is disappointing and frustratiung when you are following someone and though you faithfully comment on their photos, they very seldom respond to your postings. After awhile you wonder if they really care about anyone else but themself. Are they here to learn and enjoy the work of others or are they herte for self gratification only. So in time, if individuals fail to reposnd / comment on my photos, then I stop following them. So yes, it is important to respect everyone's time. If you are going to take part in such a project and expect others to respond to your postings, then I think one should show the same kind of respect to the others, and invest in giving them feedback as well, otherwise, don't be surprised if your following goes down.
I look at everyone I am following and trawl through the various pages too, I can spend hours on here it is very addictive. I only ever comment on those I like.
I def try to because I think it is nice to get positive, lovely comments on photos. Gives you that warm gooey feeling inside. LOL. I think if you comment than other people are likely to comment back on yours.
I try really hard to keep current on my viewing and commenting but some days go better than others....life does tend to get in the way on occasion. If I get behind I try to make it up when time allows. I truly appreciate all the people who take the time to leave comments on my photos and I think it's not only common courtesy to return the favor but it's inspiring for me to view the many different styles and techniques others use to create their photos. I don't look at commenting as backscratching but more as a way to help keep each other motivated but that doesn't mean I leave comments I don't honestly mean. Even if I see a photo that may not be award winning but speaks to me in some small way then I try to leave an encouraging comment because I think we all go through phases where inspiration or opportunity for good pictures escapes us for awhile and a few encouraging words might make the difference for someone to keep on going vs giving up. Who doesn't get discouraged once in awhile and then someone gives you an encouraging word and it gives you that push to keep on trying.
I comment on people's photos that take the time to comment on mine. Unfortunately, I just don't have the time to comment on those that don't. I tried to keep up with everyone that followed me at one point, but found there just weren't enough hours in the day.
Ofcourse I do thats the hole meaning about projekt 365 as I see it and I hope that the veiwers of my photo do the same also critical notes that would make me a better photographer
I do... I feel wonderful when I get them (though I wish I got a few more)... so I try to leave as many as I can through the day for as many of the folks I follow as I can. If it makes me feel good to get them.. I'm sure others must feel likewise.
I love browsing through photos of those I follow and those I don't. If I like something I absolutely leave a comment. I love reading the comments on my photos and I imagine others are the same.
I try to leave a decent amount of comments....one of my favorite tools of procrastination is browsing for fun and wonderful photos on here, and I never have to look hard! There is a lot of amazingness on this website!
Yeah I am another who loves seeing comments on my images, so I like to leave as many as I can :D Sometimes just short and sweet, but they all count to that sense of pride
I think it's good for the inspiration / morale! :)
Going to have a look at all your photos now!
I like receiving comments so I am sure others do as well so figure fair is fair.

D'oh - I just did!
I also try to respond to the comments I receive because I appreciate all the positive feedback I get! ♥
