Export problems with Lightroom

September 16th, 2019
As I don't want the raw files on my pc, I have them on an external cruzer blade. Now that I am uploading RAW files to LR, they get exported to my desktop when I use a-the cruzer blade. If I use a sd card, they get exported to my desktop and to the destination where I actually want them. I have a document folder for 365. I never had this issue before, so it has something to do with the new storage. I can also not access them in LR even when the cruzer blade is plugged in. How can I change this? I would appreciate any help or suggestions, thanks.

@ludwigsdiana I'm not sure if this will answer your whole question
When you export from LR there is a checkbox that says' 'Add to this catalogue' and if you check this when you export, you should be able to see it in LR in that folder...
I also understand that when working in LR ... if you want to change folder locations etc.. You need to do it from the LR end .. otherwise LR won't be able to find folders you change in your hard or external drive if you do it from that end..
Hope that makes sense

@brigette after spending the whole afternoon in LR, I finally achieved what I wanted. I think I am just too old and stupid for all this techie stuff 😉

@ludwigsdiana Rubbish!!! Just take it slowly and don't try to conquer the whole thing at once!! I'm still learning new things and every now and then I go back to basics.. to see what I've missed - which is often something!!! Keep going!!

@brigette oh my, diana & brigette - i'm certainly still learning and know that i sometimes have a shaky grasp on lightroom catalogues etc! most of the time i know enough to bodge my way through, as long as i don't get too many curve balls. google and 365 have been my friends ;) so glad you got it cracked, diana, in the end
