can i do this?

i will be travelling in April and given weight restrictions on luggage i may not be able to bring my laptop along...

i *think* it should be possible to transfer my photos from my camera to lightroom on my iPad, edit them in lightroom, and then post from there...

is this correct?

i am pretty sure there is some sort of adaptor thing that would let me move photos from an SD card to my iPad...

my LR subscription does give me some sort of LR access on my iPad which i think includes editing, but i'm not sure...

but then - is it possible to export from LR on the iPad into my files (and the cloud for safekeeping)? normally when i post from my iPad or iPhone i do it thru my file browser, not from LR directly - but maybe that's possible as well?

any insight you can provide will be much appreciated!

@houdiniem @transatlantic99 @lsquared thanks! i picked up a doohickey and i've made it work... now i just have to learn the LR editing for iPad and how to convert to black and white without using silverFX and still make it look like how i want it to look 🙃

It is quite interesting to use other techniques for processing when traveling. For me it is sometimes really challenging to get what I want, knowing how I would do it on PC. But it is also good as training how to work around. Did you consider to use a wifi sd card? Or doesn't have your Olympus an integrated wifi? When travelling I transfer the pics I would like to process and store from my Sony Cameras via integrated wifi to the I-Pad and do not carry an other item as adaptor thingy. Works perfect and fast for me.

Light room should display your photos on both computer, iPhone and iPad when you download photos into it. It automatically shares all photos with all devices where you use light room. You can send the photos to either an iPhone or iPad and they should connect and share. I'm assuming your camera is able to transfer via the internet. If not you need an adapter.
