Helen ( @helenw2 ) has been posting photos taken on the day for the past 13 years. Remarkable. I said to her that she is holding the record. Am I right. Anyone did not miss a single day longer than 13 years – interesting to know.
I used to follow someone on flicker who started their photo a day in the late 90s using film. He got over 20 years before making his whole project private. Not sure if he's still going.
I believe NASA has the longest ongoing photo a day project, which started about 28 years ago. https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ But they use photos from all sorts of sources and photographers.
I certainly admire anyone who can take a photo a day and post on the same day. Unfortunately, I am not in that position as I just get out and about once a week to capture whatever I see. As I normally do a themed month on most of my albums it would also not work. Whatever I post is either a day or four weeks old ;-)
@ludwigsdiana by the look of the responses, I guess not many people can do it. I do enjoy my first year posting on the day and some interesting photos came out under the pressure.
I've been posting since 2011. Trying to post a picture taken the same day got too stressful at the beginning so I also just take many photos when I get the chance and post them once they are edited. I do try to keep somewhat current.
@kjarn - It makes things easier, since I edit and queue up photos in batches, then I have scripts that upload my photos every day. So I can post almost every day, without having to edit every day. Also, if I'm away from home for a few days, I like that I'm back home before those are posted.
