I don't know about you all, but I go back once in awhile to my favorites page and just sort of take in all the incredible pictures that have awed me at some point. I am in a bit of a photo slump right now, kind of half-assing it if you will, fillers, skipping days, have been busy, just haven't had that itch to create something in the last few weeks. I would like you to look at your favorites and pick something that stands out, from however long ago, of other peoples' photos. Sure inspiration is subjective... but I bet we can wow each other. Remember to tag the photographer to let them know you are showing them off!
@ccenecua Hi Christina feel free to take a look at my photos. I would trust that some of them would inspire you. One of the things I did was photograph my ABC's which was a lot of fun. I also from time to time check out other themes that are out there. And of course the bottome line is carry your camera with you at all times and trust your gut instinct
I remember when I saw this photo on the POP Page in April. I was blow away! His photos still Ah-maze me! @alecio -- check out his photos, follow him, & you won't regret the journey! ;-)
This has to be one my favourite favourites ever. I love how cool and urban and grungey it is and yet the mention of mermaids and the distortion of blue give it this old-world, fairytale, nothing-quite-as-it-seems kinda feel. It's like a still from a film about this guy's life... I don't know what the story is but I want to hear it :)
Just an idea (because I love this kinda stuff!) how about buying an old camera and shooting some film? Or get an old Ttv camera and just shot through that with your own digital - it can be a lot of fun, and you get such varied and cool results.
Ttv:
See the photo caption for more information about ttv :)
Example of film:
It is also fun just to take photos of old cameras:
Looking through my fav's I have too many to choose from :) All mine are 'in the moment' shots. Very few have had heavy editing. I agree with @bkbinthecity just carry your camera with you. I adapted my rucksac/handbag so that it is not obvious to anyone that I have it with me. So do get surprised looks when I pull it out and start snapping pics. :-)
@lauren211 I nearly chose another one of yours, Lauren - the first image of yours that I ever faved - but this one here captures me every time I look at it. You show much of yourself in every image you create, but your SP's are just, always, stunning. I am constantly in awe of you, and wish that I had as much natural talent.
@mtol inspires me daily! While I am lost in the world of editing, her photos are mostly sooc. She rocks out some awesome compositions!
On another note, a couple of months ago, when I was really uninspired and feeling like quitting, @emmar84 reminded me that a 365 is about taking a photo a day and how many other years do you have a memory for each day? It's important to keep shooting, doing it often, for your growth, but most importantly for your own memories. Hang in there! If this was easy, everyone who started would finish.

I know about the whole slump thing. I was away for five weeks and now I have been moving, more work, etc. It is hard to get back into the swing of things. This is a great discussion idea. I have been meaning to look at my favs for inspiration, thanks for the push.
I'm in a slump as well....too much work, no time has been my excuse. But its a crap excuse!! BRILLIANT idea for a thread. I havent been on here much either....and I do get inspired by others so I AM gonna make a concerted effort to look (& comment) more. I'm off to look at my favs right NOW!!!
@riddella - I really like this photo because it shows that any object can be captured in an amazing way. This photo inspires me because I don't live near the beach and am not surrounded by amazing scenery and I know that if I look closer to home I will find objects of beauty to photograph.
@jinximages - thanks so much Jinx!!! :) I'm honored that one of my photos made it on here! haha I also have some favorites from your page as well!! Seeing that SP my style has evovled alot haha
It was really hard to narrow this down lol but I tried to highlight the different strengths all these photographers have (which is the reason why I fave'd their photos :D )
@kmwilliams
I always enjoy looking at Kate's project because of how personal and intimate it is - from her captions to the photos themselves (I'm a Self portrait junkie so I love hers as well). I love the pinhole effect here
Barry makes all his nature shots interesting - adds a little bit of mysticism to them, makes them seem like they're not places you'd find here on earth. Beautiful!
@jinximages
One of the most captivating portraits I've see here - my professor would probably go crazy over this haha! (and I'm not just mentioning you because you mentioned me in the thread, I really love this photo! haha)
@worldshaker wow thank you so much for mentioning my work! I am highly inspired by your self-portraits as well. I love the portrait series you keep coming back to that you take in your kitchen such as this one:
to me, your portraits are very intimate..and intriguing. I want to know more about what's going on in each photograph you take. Maybe that could be your next step, venturing past what you let us, as the audience, already know about you. :)
Okay, that's a tough one. I have so many FAV's that have inspired me and helps me get through this project. There is so much talent on this site. But I think I have to choose Louish - as almost everyone of his photos are FAVED by me. You gotta check out his work. http://365project.org/louish/365/2011-05-09
