Looking for Feedback.

December 3rd, 2011
I am looking for some feedback from my fellow 365ers. For those who don't know me or my project. I choose to shoot the same subject for the whole 365. It is a little aqua colored bottle. I am now at day 71 and would like some feedback as to what was peoples favorite bottle shot(s) so far, and what they may like to see in the future.

This is still my favorite.

I remember for one shot, you did a lyric from "Love Potion #9" by The Searchers. I'd like to see more song inspired lyrics that could include the bottle.

@mej2011 Thank you for the feedback and future idea. I actually have another song title shot planned out but I still don't have the right props.

@shuterfly
Bummer! I hope you are able to get the props, or figure out alternate ideas. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

I've just looked through your whole project and am amazed at all your ideas. I'll be following you from now on and wish you well in coming up with 365 ideas for that bottle.

Here is my favourite and my only suggestions for you are to do more outdoors shots - take your bottle on adventures with you.

Great project!

@kjarn Thanks for feedback. I will try to get out more. I always feel my bottle looks out of place in nature, but will definitely give it a go.

@woot Thanks for your feedback and continued support throughout my project.

@jannkc Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. It is a toss up between the one you picked and bottling the fountain of youth photo that are my all time favorite.

Geez, I read what your project was and thought it sounded dreadful, but wow - you've really done wonders with that bottle. My fav is the eyeball reflection recently. Good luck with the rest of the project.

oh and what about the bottle half buried on the beach, and on the same beach you could recreate message in a bottle in the surf...not that you're needing ideas.

@chewyteeth Thanks very much for the warm comments. I try my best to keep it interesting. I specifically choose same subject to push my creativity level. It is something I feel I had been struggling with before. I would see all these really cool photos and think wow how did they think of that, or wow that is genius creative. So this project is me flexing my creative muscles. I will be honest some days I flounder for ideas, at least interesting ones anyway.

@mikew Thanks very much for your input. It just helps me to know what type of shots are interesting to people.

What attracts me initially is looking at the small thumbnail, seeing interesting shapes, colors, patterns, light and shadows. Before I even know what the subject is. Then if it seems interesting enough to look at a bigger view, then it's about the composition and lighting, and also the emotional aspect of it. I especially like your high key and low key stuff, and the close up macro shots. I don't think I could do 365 shots of a bottle, but it's a fantastic idea for working on creativity. Maybe I could try something like that for a month (or a week lol)

@mikew If you do decide to give a subject a try for any length of time please stop by my project or let me know here. I would love to see it. It will definitely push your thought process. And make you look at things differently. I will sometime use the weekly theme or other themes to get some ideas from. Thanks a again for the feedback.

I can not believe you shoot the same bottle for every day of your project! How amazing! And from the looks of the ones above, you are doing a great job with it. So creative. You are brave. I need to follow you to watch this progress....
