I thought that with life being so busy and being halfway through my project now would be a good time to try a monthly challenge like this which would give me some ideas and inspiration for daily shots, also I haven't done any challenges like this yet. So I found the blog of Fatmumslim who provides lists of words to inspire a month of photos.
If you want to take part just tag your photos photoadayaug and feel free to post any on here that you want to share.
I don't normally like the things on these monthly lists but this one looks ok so I might join in, at least for some of the days. 365 is a bit challenging at the moment while I'm off school as I don't leave the house most days!!
@roachling I know what you mean, I have avoided them so far too but as I say I need a bit of direction at the moment as I am too busy to go out for hours trying to think of photos. This is the first summer in a long while I'm not going on holiday so I seem to just be staying in and getting the house sorted at the moment. Look forward to seeing your shots!
I've decided just tonight to do this same challenge, so have done my outside shot! I've never tried a month challenge in case I find it too limiting, but I think I'm in a good place now to have a go. I enjoyed being 'pushed' last week so maybe I'll rise to the daily thing. Hope so. I'll look forward to seeing your shots @hasselhotch@roachling
Love the link. It looks like a great inspiration. Indeed I decided to run with a number theme for August (day 1 requres something with a 1 in it etc) because I needed something to keep me going. I may try next month (or combine my own challenge with fat mum slim's). Thanks for the link :-)
Ok, I think I'm gonna give it a go!
I like this list, and since I will be super busy writing my thesis (deadline: August 31st...), this might be just what I need. Inspiration usually doesn't hit me when I'm busy and stressed out, so let's hope this works :D
Looks great!! Never done a list like that, and seeing as soon I will have to be in school all day, some quick inspiration sounds great!! THis is my first time, also, on one of these month-long challenges!!
I might give it a go. I'm on my second year and I didn't miss a single day last year. I told myself I'd cut myself some slack this year so I might not get every done but this list is a pretty good one for inspiration.
I have just started this challenge and have been trying to find a place to share my photos. So follow me and comment... I'm about as amatuer as you you can get, but I love taking photos!!!
@tulipgirl@amyamoeba@synke@roachling Hey guys loving what I'm seeing so far! I should be able to upload mine at the weekend, t the moment I only have the Internet on my phone whilst we wait to get the house connected. I haven't forgotten the challenge though and I have been taking my photos. Yesterday's picture involved champagne and today my main prop was a pack I French playing cards :)
@hasselhotch Hey looking forward to seeing your outdoor champagne shot! and I'm expecting a super card construction with the Ace on top ;-)
@synke Oh here's this shot popping up again! Setting a high standard here :-)
@monjoy Loving your coin shot Monika. Clever idea. I'd have to sift through some old round silver ones we've got to see if I could match my birth year :-0 I'm thinking of trying to get capture a spinning coin, just need to practice my spins!!
I'm looking forward to seeing your photos when you can upload them. Thanks for posting this list - it has really helped me out, I don't spend all day wondering what on earth I can take a photograph of now!!
@roachling I'm so glad to have this list too it's really good to have a limit on subjects or at least a suggestion you have to work with. Sometimes you just get to the end of the day and there are so many possible subjects that the task can just overface you. That's how I get sometimes anyway and ten I can't get the creative juices flowing. I'm going to process my pictures tomorrow and when I visit my parent at the weekend I'll hijack their Internet and upload some photos.
@amyamoeba@amyamoeba I'm really enjoying having some guidance for which subjects to shoot but I'm really frustrated not having Internet at the moment, I can only get on 365 on my phone and I want to upload the pictures I've taken and look properly at everyone else's! I love that pocket watch it looks like a proper family heirloom. Is it very old?

I had the same idea - I have a coin necklace too! Mine is made out of a sixpence.
I'm looking forward to seeing your photos when you can upload them. Thanks for posting this list - it has really helped me out, I don't spend all day wondering what on earth I can take a photograph of now!!
