New Mundane Challenge - Umbrella

April 29th, 2015
Thanks to Mona @mona65 who hosted the Mundane Match Challenge. And thank you to all who voted for my burnt match photo - I am so surprised to have won as there were so many great entries and the other finalists' entries were all fantastic!

I'm also somewhat nervous about the responsibility of choosing a new mundane subject!

I had a few ideas but then this morning's rain decided it......the subject of the new mundane challenge is UMBRELLA. I'm hoping that's a fairly universal object, but for those lucky enough to live in places where umbrellas are not a necessity, sun umbrellas or parasols are absolutely fine, or even those little umbrella things you can put in cocktails if you like!

As always there should be no question that the subject of the challenge is the star of the shot. You are free to use any photographic techniques to capture the subject and edit it as you wish.

The challenge begins tomorrow (Thursday 30th April) and will run until the end of Friday 8th May (midnight BST).

You may enter as many times as you like, but your entries must be taken within this time frame to be considered for voting.

Please tag your shots *mundane-umbrella*. You may also post your shots to this thread if you wish.

Check out the entries here:

I look forward to seeing your entries!
