+ - + WWYD181 Challenge Starts Today + - +

April 30th, 2019
Thanks a bunch to @koalagardens for hosting the last WWYD round number 180. These challenges should push participants to try new skills and techniques. They are always fun, and I really want to thank everyone who participated and voted.

This round of the "What Would You Do" Challenge is WWYD181. The base image is from a tour of Southern Utah.

WWYD181 CHALLENGE START DATE: April 30
WWYD181 CHALLENGE END DATE: May 16

Voting to take place shortly after the close of entries being submitted.

Rules and how to play:

• Save the image to your computer (you can choose “Sizes” on the right and download the largest version if you like)
• Go wild with any kind of editing techniques you like – anything goes! You can keep or not as much of the original image as you like.
• Upload to any of your albums and tag it WWYD181
• Come back and add to this discussion thread to get it lots of exposure (to add your image in a reply click on the arrow near your fav and comment numbers on the image and copy the “embed” code, then paste in the reply).
• You can enter as many variations of this image as you like.

This challenge is a great way to try out editing techniques you have not tried before. Sit back, relax and have lots of fun with things like: horizon straightening, tone, colour controls, cures, details, sharpening, gradients, filters, layers, dodge and burn, masks and textures. Try out different apps and online tools, but remember to just have FUN!

Good luck, and I can’t wait to see what you would do! TAG: WWYD181

@koalagardens i see! Thanks for pointing this out. I just tried it. It's larger resolution to download directly, not from large size in photo details.

great challenge Mike - at first I wasn't sure, but as other folk started playing about with some great edits, finally an idea came to mind ... so I took your desert, and added the rapidly drying up of our Murray River and some faffing and some hours drifted by, and oh I love the therapy of photography mixed with graphic art!!!!
