Amy was your winner from last weeks "Movie Scene" theme. View her photo here
I contacted Amy...
Well, I keep seeing posts from Sarah Jane (@sj), Laura (@raralauz), Tadii (@taidster), and so many more that are going through such difficult times. I don’t even know these ladies, and yet my heart just bleeds for them. I’m brought to tears sometimes by their bold, telling photographs.
So…that being said I want to do a theme about Hope. Not the political jargon “hope and change” yada yada. I mean something that these people can look at and see that we are thinking of them. One big theme dedicated to anyone we want to share our love and hope with. A lone flower in a winter field, a purple sunset, a rainbow, a baby just born. Anywhere you see hope, give it to them.
-------------------------
Entry to this theme starts on Monday (24th January) and will accept entries until Sunday night (23:59 GMT 30th Jan). 5 finalists will be chosen next week and we'll vote on the winner then.
Entries must have been taken and uploaded this week only! Entries outside of the date range will not be accepted in to the final 5.
What a wonderful idea for a theme. I too find myself reaching through the internet to hug these amazing individuals who are going through so much and share their struggles with us. I look forward to giving something back
Lovely sentiments Amy, and so kind of you to think of all our 365 friends who are suffering in their own ways. HOPE-ing we can all find something worthy of your theme for this week.
YAY AMY! So proud of you and I am inspired by your choice of theme. We have to search hard sometimes to keep hope alive. This theme should produce some amazing work.
wow thank you guys :) I am so incredibly thrilled that my photo of my friend won out of all those awesome photos!! As I told Ross, I'm just flabbergasted and flattered and proud all at the same time. I love you guys here on 365 so much.
And I'm even more thrilled you guys like my theme choice. It means so much to me. :) I appreciate it very much.
Great work @amyhughes ...both with your winning photo AND your beautiful theme choice! i hope to get back to taking photos this week, and this will be an inspiring theme to work with!
Congratulations, Amy!! Great theme choice. Looking forward to seeing the entries and coming up with some ideas of my own. (And, of course, as always, I look forward to seeing what you come up with.)
Yay Amy! Congrats! Love the theme, I had been thinking for a while it would be interesting to have a theme that, rather than inspiring the subject matter of our shots, inspired the mood . . . this will be fun!
Congratulations Amy! You deserved it! And you came up with a great new idea for a theme, I really like it. Let's see what the community is coming up with this week for the ones that need it.
I haven't got a green thumb on either hand and I have brought this back from the dead. I have always wanted a Frangipani so Georgia rescued this half dead one from our neighbour. Isn't it amazing what water can do!!
Just wondering- because I've never tried to take my 365 photos in a theme before; does every photo I take that week for 365 have to be on that theme? Because my photo from yesterday wasn't really *hopeful*, and now I wonder whether I could actually participate...
@cherryflakes as long as the photo is posted within the week (Monday-Sunday) you can enter it. Each pic in the theme can be an entry. You can enter more than one in the theme during the week. So enter away.
For example here is one I tool and posted Monday that I entered. It spoke hope to me in many ways, especially the center where the light appears as an angel complete with halo
I got really lucky today with my theme shot. Not the best photo I've ever taken, but not bad for shooting from the car from about 20 feet away while in traffic. I wish I knew who put this on the wall and why...
Lamp posts are inspiring and hopeful to me - reminding you there's always a light guiding you and keeping you safe. I took this before the theme was posted, so I love the connection even more.
As I embark on the treacherous journey of this year
I am dawning the beginning of a new life for myself
After trials and tribulations of the year past
Struggling to try and break into my career
Finally there is a glimmer of hope
A light at the end of the tunnel
With job prospects finally turning up
I feel my struggle coming to an end
Hope, it seems, is just around the corner
@amyhughes ; congratulations amy! i never follow the theme competitions, but Sheri (@petersonsheri) contacted me over facebook yesterday and told me that i was one of the people this theme was dedicated too. I just wanted to say thank you so much. With my family not knowing about my struggles, it really means a lot to be receiving so much encouragement and support (and hope!) from my 365 family.
Thank you!!! x
This is my first theme competition entry, I took it not thinking about the theme at all but looking at it now I feel it represents the hopes I have for my baby, that he will grow up to be happy, healthy, compassionate and loving.
This shot was set up by my three year old son, who is autistic. He often arranges random objects into quite artistic patterns - sculptures which demonstrate the unique sense of pattern recognition he has and the need to create order. I was photographing my daughter when I looked down and saw this; I often document these illusory creations. To me, this represents the hope I have that despite the challenges facing him, the beauty in him can be nurtured. I gave this shot a slightly hyper-real edit which is how I imagine he sees the world.
It may not be the heart clenching sad picture of hope or say hope in the picture like most of the pictures in the contest here, but I feel it shows that hope in the struggle during tough points in sports everybody gets when watching their favorite sport team or their kids during their sports. It's unique.
Hmm. I hope this week I can enter a couple of photos. ;-)
Great theme choice
And I'm even more thrilled you guys like my theme choice. It means so much to me. :) I appreciate it very much.
Your idea for the theme really means a lot to me. :D
I can't wait!
I am feeling a little daft tho, could someone please remind me on how to view and vote for the previous week's theme top 5??? Thanks in advance =D

Thank you!!! x
Hope that one day my heart will be free
to me, Love is Hope (:
I see hope as one of the many steps of life
We visited a local park today and I saw my first snowdrop of the year. It is an image that every year makes me smile that spring is on it's way.
