*********************
VOTING HAS ENDED. PETER WILL BE POSTING THE NEXT PHOTO AS WWYD #2 SOON!
********************
Here are the Top 5 Photos, some from 365 User Favs/comments, some I just loved. Very cool to see all the different things people could do with a really bland photo.
VOTING LASTS 24 HOURS, ENDS 23:59 GMT (WHICH IS 17:59 CST IN THE USA) ON MONDAY 1/24/11!!
Please post the number of the one you like best! Winner will get to submit a photo for editing this week (will have to work out the details via email ie. getting access to drop box, etc.) and will get to judge the variations of their own image. Happy voting, and thank you to everyone who participated - I had no idea so many people would spend so much time on this. So many amazing entries!!
@petervanallen is the winner, sorry had to repost this. someone got crazy about not winning and then deleted all the posts they made so I would look like an insane nut who was talking to myself. very weird....
anyway, Peter please let me know if we need to have a conversation offline regarding posting the next image. I used dropbox.com, and can give you the account info if you don't want to make one or don't already have one. Congrats!
@sdpace Excuse me? It has nothing to do with winning. What I am pissed about is that you said initially it was not a photoshopping contest but you pit 4 people against 1 that is clearly photoshopped the life out of that none of the other 4 stand a chance against. I don't think it's fair for THOSE contestants, I could give a crap if I won or were considered in the 5 at all. If you're going to stipulate rules, stick to them so it's fair for everyone, 3 is clearly going to win by a landslide. It's not me being crazy, it's me pointing out the ridiculousness of trying to follow your rules of it not being a photoshop contest only to find out the most photoshopped one wins?
@sdpace I'm not interested in starting a contest, I'm merely express disappointment and frustration in trying to follow the changing guidelines of yours and I get labeled crazy for it. Thanks, thanks a ton.
@Sheral really, please lighten up, it's all in good fun....and I didn't pick the final winner....everyone else did. I didn't even vote. And everyone, like you, knew the "rules" and the point of the contest....
@Sheral
yes... Its a fine line between editing and manipulation. (i think thats what your getting at?) however this is all fun an games, isn't it? @sdpace
Its been fun, looking forward to the next one :)
@petervanallen --- Congratulations Peter! Your interpetation is over the top awesome! A FAV of mine. I have mentioned to you before that I really like seeing you think outside of the box by trying different things. You are doing some fun experimentation with your photos. Great job! Bring on the next challenge Peter. :-)
@alisongbradshaw --- "This is such a fun idea...it may force me to really learn how to edit."
That is a positive benefit with doing challenges like this. It will help you to stretch your creative mind. Not everything needs to be turned into abstract to be a great editing job. Even a simple picture perfectly edited that captures our attention can win. Besides, what a fun way to learn all about editing?! ;-)
@petervanallen I created a "public" dropbox.
Go to dropbox.com

On the "files" tab, there is an "upload" button.
Upload RAW and JPEG if you have available, then start a new WWYD #2 thread and post the links!!
@sdpace Thanks mate, will post the new image later tonight as the firewall on our work computers won't allow access to dropbox.com and I have a volleyball game straight after work, but hopefully not too late!
cause Steve got ripped on the "lines" theme and this one is just as cleaver
but honestly, cant (clearly! LOL) compete with the others!!
