Thank you @kali66 for hosting the previous minimalism challenge on “mini-street”. And thanks to all of you who participated, voted and commented!
In a recent discussion about this challenge, it was decided to slightly change the format. Instead of a rotating “mandatory” theme (urban, light/shadow, street, texture/form, sea/land/cityscape), the challenge will be generic and open to all “minimalism” entries. The winner of previous challenge can suggest a theme, but this will be “optional” (as source of idea/inspiration only).
Regarding “minimalism photography”:
Many definitions & examples of minimalist photography out there to consider. Here is a guideline: Minimalism is indeed the art of less. As a life philosophy, minimalists focus on a few essential elements of life and cast unnecessary things aside. Same pretty much goes for this photography style. Keep effects and processing to a minimum also :o)
The suggested (non-mandatory) theme for this first challenge is “edge”. A clear edge between two surfaces with uniform color offers good opportunity for a minimalism photography (e.g. the edge of a building with concrete on one side of the edge, a blue sky on the other side). Having an object on the edge, and using a clean background provides also opportunity fro minimalism photography.
So the challenge starting today is open to all “Minimalism” entrees.

The challenge begins 12 June 2019 and is open for entries until 02 July 2019. Shots must be taken within this time frame. A voting will take place shortly after. The winner will then host the next minimalism challenge
I like your edge suggestion. My minimal search starts: now! ;)
