September Words of the Month

September 2nd, 2019

I am so sorry that this month's words are late - I had last minute, unexpected family commitments come up on Friday and just got got home today. I hope that those of you who faithfully do the words can catch up - I conveniently gave you the word 'late' as the first word - lol!

The words of the month are continuing to either take on a theme or coat-tail with other challenges going on with 365. For September I thought it would be good to pair up with Richard Sayer’s @vignouse annual NF-SOOC challenge. That’s nifty-fifty (50 mm lens or equivalent) Straight Out Of Camera in plain English for those not familiar with these terms.

It is a great way to fine tune your technical skills in a fun way. Details can be found here:
https://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/42451/nf-sooc-september-2019

While I have chosen these words to complement Richard’s challenge, they can also be used exactly as we normally would for our regular word of the month. Please use both the sep19words and nf-sooc-2019 tag if you plan on using any words in conjunction with Richard’s challenge.

It was also suggested that I use words to appeal to a wider audience such as those who do landscape or technical shots rather than simple objects. I think you will find this month has a wide variety of words and something for everyone.

Thank you to everyone who continues to contribute their suggestions each month. Your continued faithfulness to this challenge makes my job as host of this challenge a breeze!

For newer members, the word of the month is a great place to dip your toes into. This challenge is also a great place for older members who occasionally lose their mojo and need ideas or inspiration. It can be a great challenge for those who want to go that extra nine yards to do a full month of words. The choice is yours!

The tag for the month will continue in the same format as before, first three letters of the month, the year and then ‘words’ (sep19words).

Feel free to do one word, a few, or all of them. They can be done in any order you choose, or on the suggested day. Pop in daily, or just on occasion. This is your challenge, and your project. Until next month, enjoy!

Ladies - you are both wonderful! No apologies needed on your end. it is I who needs to apologize.
And, in a weird way, I am delighted to know that you missed me. I always wonder if my absence would be noticed!
