Eye Of The Beholder 125 is open!

October 8th, 2020
Thanks to Kim @genealogygenie for hosting the last round of Eye Of The Beholder, and thanks to all who participated and voted. I'm honored to have won, and to host the next round.

So on to round 125! If you're not familiar with Eye of The Beholder, it's all about finding something extraordinary in the ordinary.. You want to find a subject that if people were watching you taking the shot, they would be wondering what on earth has possessed you to photograph something which seems so ordinarily, plain, bland, boring or ugly.

You will need to find a way to portray your subject so that it comes across differently and aesthetically pleasing. This challenge is about using light, the rules of competition and your photographer's eye to find the beauty in your subject. A bit of post-processing is ok, but please don't overdo it - there are other challenges for editing.

Challenge start : backdated to September 30, 2020 (when eotb-124 ended)
Challenge end : Tuesday October 27, 2020
Your photos must be taken during this time frame.

Larry - October 27th is a Tuesday - did you want the challenge to end on Tuesday or Sunday, Oct 25th?

I seem to make this mistake (almost) every time I host a challenge. It should be TUESDAY October 27.

Thanks for noticing and pointing it out!

So... I took the this photo while traveling last week, and thought it would be good for EOTB. Then I remembered I'm hosting!! I thought I'd share it here, and maybe remind everybody that there's still time to get an entry for this round!

That photo really does work well for this challenge, which I find has many people entering shots of beautiful objects rather than, like this, making the ordinary or ugly beautiful.
Don't forget to get the voting up!

I’m a little late getting finalists selected, and voting started. Will get up ASAP! Thanks for the gentle reminder, Wendy @farmreporter
