077 And no, orchids are not lysergic

For the Sunday=Funday series, a shot inspired by Spike Jonze's movie "Adaptation" (2002)...
Nicely done

You are so excellent at processing - love this!

@susale @kerosene thank you! I try to keep processing at its minimum, a good deal of the work is at the moment of the shooting... :-)

Orchids may not be lysergic but they can be hypnotic. This is surreal!!!

@domenicododaro Oh I do realize your photos use minimal processing and are beautiful on their own, but I mean your multiplicity shots, your scaling (like tiny you here), etc.!

@kerosene Too kind of you, Caroline. :-)

neat-o! you really pop (tho i think i might have liked to be fooled more with a softer outline edge. Did you use the lasso tool with no feather?
April 9th, 2016
@moreyoulessme well, no actually I use at least 3-5 pixel feather and the refine with a similar size eraser at hardness 0. The problem here was lighting and relative position. Though I paid a lot of attention, and took my selfportrait climbing on a stair in order to stay in the same position as the orchid flower, the difference in size (yes in real life I am a little bigger ;-)) matters! Besides, the bokeh of a 105 micro lens is quite different at 5cm than at 5 meters...
