Re our comments on the @northy shot. You must have a history with film. Wonderful, I don't really, so must rely on the "film packs" and such from editor plugins. The DXO film pack for instance is quite a resource for us "newbie digitals" to learn about the days of "true" film. All the best.
@frankhymus thank you! Also for the following. Yes, I do have an history with film, it seems ages ago... I still use (rarely, I must admit) a large format camera (4x5 inches). No doubt, digital is faaaar more practical (and also silver efex is not bad at all!) All the best!
Your elevation seems to have been sudden and startling! Nicely done Domenico. You have a lovely apartment - if I visited, I would steal your chair painting/sculpture - it's fabulous. Is it your own work?
What a fun photo!! I love the movement in it and how you made it look like you were actually levitating. :) Fabulous space in your house, too - and kudos on the chair, it's beautifully done and such an interesting work of art!
@vignouse@domenicododaro You're right about the Japanese girl - I used her for an art project in school, we were exploring the possibilities in their mobile cameras.
And thought that the chair picture was your own creation, it added a lot to my original confusion. Great picture as Richard said.
@runner365 Thank you Claes! Sometime I fear I'm too much influenced by the Italian baroque aesthetic: "è del poeta il fin la maraviglia; chi non sa far stupir vada alla striglia!" (The poet's purpose must be astonishment; he who's not able to surprise, better pick a currycomb [i.e.: become a stable boy])...
@joysabin do you mean my position relative to the chair? I must admit I did not plan it very much... My position in posing here was not that comfortable! Thank you!

Beautiful quote, though (and thanks for translating it for me)
