1.23 Red lanterns

A few drops of rain, a night wanderer and a Chinese restaurant. No, not the Forbidden City ;-)
Love the blur in the guy walking

I like the colours. Gritty street life.

The lighting is terrific in this image. Strong night scene.

Beautiful sparking lights in the air.

This is awesome (but I won't say more awesome than the Leica, of course!). I nearly bought a 2nd hand D3, but went with a D500 instead. Looking at this, I wonder if I did the wrong thing; this has a real snap and pop to it (and love the lens).

@ingrid2101 Thank you! I love blur in general, too!
@rachelwithey Thank you! I didn't even expect all that starburst...
@fauxtography365 Thank you! I think the guy walking thought I was half crazy, standing crouched under the rain with camera at eye-level.
@bkbinthecity Thank you, a little in Saul Leiter style...
@caseyrybeck Thank you, and Red/Yellow are the official colours of Rome!
@taffy Thank you so much!
@yaorenliu Thank you! I also loved the light in the branches of the tree.
@scotthouston Lol, thank you very much! That's why I won't trade her in for the D810... The 20mm f 2,8 is a terrific lens! mine is really old but still a tank!

Spectacular night street photography! Love the red glow in the puddle. Fav!

@joysabin thank you so much!

This is a happy shot, I love both nighttime and the rain - and the city ambience is there which I love too... lovely lanterns!

@kerosene Thank you Caroline!, This is just 100 m far from my place. It is so curious to portray your daily places.

@domenicododaro The lens looks like it pairs well with the D3. I have the 20 / 1.8, which I have a lot of fun with; but I've never done anything like this (I must try).

Like the idea of the location being static while the human(s) are in motion. Great one.

@scotthouston It does... I start thinking it is something that goes with age: the more I age, the more I like wideangles... Maybe I will have a fisheye on my deathbed!
@runner365 Thank you very much, Claes, effectively this came out better than I foresaw!

@domenicododaro I hope one for each eye :)

I like the low viewpoint... it sort of detaches you from the scene.

@vignouse Somehow, yes, you're right! Thank you!

VML the starbursts of light...suggests a fairy story, an urban night scene and some poor continuity.

@s4sayer Thank you, kind of Cinderella, somehow...
