A last one. But precious: in Tuscany "gnudi" means "naked" - and effectively these are kind of naked ravioli: the filling without the pasta... But their name (like the German "knödels") comes from "Knots": spinach, ricotta and parmesan cheese balls cooked in boiling water and seasoned in melted butter, more parmesan and a hint of grated nutmeg. Kings' food.
lovely shot. I really like the match of china and tableware to this too. Time you invited all your 365 followers round for dinner now! I know I would enjoy this.
@featherstone26 Don't forget to drop a message if you are in Rome! Thank you! @kwind Thanks, Kim! @summerfield Sorry, no cake in this book... nutritionist prohibited... @seattlite Thanks a lot, Gloria! @mona65 Thank you again, Mona! @leonbuys83 Thank you, Leon, it was a lot of fun to do them. @caterina Did you ever try? Next time you are in Rome I'll cook them for you and Pier! @joemuli haha, photographing real food implies being very fast, otherwise it gets cold... lol @gardenfolk It is, I promise! @helenhall It would be fabulous... but the maximum number of people I cooked for is 30. And it took one day and a half! @amyk Thank you a lot! @golftragic Yes, yes, this is the last... Otherwise no-one would buy the book ;) @joysabin True, and they may be prepared with other vegetables: they are wonderful with a chard with red leaves. @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian, it is! @yaorenliu Completely!
I've been mostly away from 365, and I just saw that you've been posting some tantalizing food photos. But I haven't been eating much for a few months so I won't be photographing food . . . unless I photograph a protein shake or dried rice with hot water. Your food looks much more appealing.
