Peace?

This little dude was resting on the walkway. I’m no coroner, but the slaughter had to be recent, judging from how shiny the blood was. I know it’s not a dove, but I couldn’t help thinking of a sad irony on peace, and I couldn’t help photographing it.
Sorry for the gore, and for the diversion from the nf-sooc month: I only had my phone with me.

@summerfield I believe it was a gull. They chase pigeons like there’s no tomorrow. But the prey fell on a crowded walkway and the predator didn’t dare to face the bigger predator - man...

@s4sayer sadly, I fear the answer is there... there’s a price for “peace”, and it’s paid in blood. Innocent.
