I collect crystals and stones. This is a quartz crystal full of crystals of rutile . I photographed it on happy setting in sunlight. It's probably been shaped a little and certainly polished but apart from that the formation is exactly as Nature made it. Its maximum measurements are 3.25" high, 4" wide and 2" deep (8x10x5cm).
Critique welcome. Veteran 365er, 2011 vintage. Only posting occasionally and irregularly now.

@bigsusan55 It automatically enhances the colours. I forgot I had it on until I loaded the picture onto the computer but the shot was so difficult to get I wasn't about to try again. :-)
The rutiles are naturally a slightly paler gold. What I wasn't able to get was the way they glitter in the sunlight. Rutile is titanium oxide, btw.
