This shot was a total and utter fluke.
Lester and I went to the College Lake Nature Reserve near Tring in Hertfordshire this afternoon. The area is an exhausted gravel pit.
The swans were rather a long way off but I thought I'd take a shot of them anyway just to see what it would turn out like. Just as I pressed the button they did this!
But, oh for a squillion pounds for a camera and a whizzy zoom lens! Never mind, my trusty little compact has done sterling work with the help of a little p-ping. I'm grateful for the luck I had in getting this at all.
It looks like 'Swan Lake' Did you hum the music? A great capture. You take good shots with your little compact.

Thank you :-)

Ah, this was the shot were talking about last night. Having a fancier camera usually means that it is on the wrong setting when you need it ;-)

Sometimes it's all about luck! But we sure take it when we get it!
