Dilly had spent some sitting on a submerged branch in order to apply her top-of-the-range Creme de Canal mallard moisturising oil before taking enthusiastically to the water for her morning swim.
Taken this morning on a visit to the Wendover Arm of the Grand Union Canal, about 10 minutes' walk away from our house and the frequent subject of my project. As you can see from the reflections, we enjoyed a blue sky today but a return to the usual UK winter grey is forecast for tomorrow. Hope they've got it wrong.

Thank you :-) @bigsusan55 Oooh, I hadn't thought of that interpretation! Our part of theWendover Arm is unpolluted by boat oil because it's not navigable. I was thinking of the duck version of Creme de Mer . The ducks up at Chesham use Creme de Pond (Or Pond's Cold Cream) :-D
