As always, a big thank you to you for looking at/commenting on my shots.
Back on auto settings today.
Lester and I went to Dorney Lake today. It's Eton college's ( very old, very posh, fee-paying school - well known in the UK.) rowing centre and will be the venue for some of the Olympic rowing events.
There are actually 2 very long, man-made lakes. I didn't manage to capture their good side, but there's a shot of ice at the edge of one of them here : http://365project.org/dulciknit/on-the-day-extr/2012-02-14
I spotted this fungus when I was walking back to the car park (Lester had gone back a little earlier) and fell for all the textures. I can't disable the flash on auto and it went off when I took this. I'm not usually a fan but I quite like the effect it created.
Critique welcome. Veteran 365er, 2011 vintage. Only posting occasionally and irregularly now.
I'm an abstract photography enthusiast but not exclusively so.

This is a really wonderful shot - the detail and the texture are great. Love the composition - and yes, think the flash worked very well here. This was a great find today.
i see why you were drawn to take it.
