I went for a bit of a drive today and ended up by the Grand Union Canal near Cook's wharf. There's a stretch where it widens and there's a lot of narrow boats on permanent moorings. this is one section of them, there's another group 50 yards or so further along. These are the most photogenic, though.
And the title? Well, if you look closely at the boat towards the right of the shot, in large view, you'll see why. :-)
Funnily enough, when I Googled 'Cook's Wharf' I found Hannah again, having an extension put in : http://cookswharf.com/
Lester tells me that people having their narrow boats extended is as common as having extensions put on houses.

I wonder how many of them are lived on at this time of year? The one in the centre looks open. Rather them than me, though I do envy a friend in the summer.
A nice shot. I like the reflections of the trees. It is interesting to see how people add to their boats. It must be hard to keep warm at this time of year.
I love canal boats. Nice show of them here and great reflections. Our friends had one and they had a stove in it. However I think it would be cold to live in during the very bad weather.
