Dingley Dell is Bailey Speak for any pretty, shady woodland scene.
This dingley dell works better on large view. :-)
I went to Waterperry Gardens again today while Lester and his chums went on one of their pub walks. I like wandering round there and looking at the changes time makes to the plants and scenery.
There's a nice tea room that sells tasty cheese scones, so I have lunch there as well.

A beautiful composition. I love how you can see reflections right through the picture. My husband went out to lunch with his chums today but I did housework. I have made new plans for next week !!
Lovely. I just looked up the website... looks like a nice place to visit. In Guy speak Dingly Dell is a dip in the trees in a woodland - we often drive into dingly dells... funny. Wonder where the term came from that our interpretation is so similar?
Hmm! Aside from an album by Lindisfarne the other main references come from Dickens' Pickwick Papers. On skim reading the appropriate chapter I am none the wiser. So I will just enjoy the idea I have in my mind. Nice picture by the way!!
beautiful scene, lovely reflections!
have a great weekend
