Out of Wendover

This is a roadside bank just outside the village gates and it's about as inspired as I got today!
I was trying to get a close up of the flowers from below but all the ones further up the bank hadn't opened properly. They're Cowslips. Cows' lips, but my warped brain always thinks of them as Cow slips. Like you get cows in petticoats!

I think the rain has a lot to do with inspiration. Every thing is so wet. The yellow flowers area good contrast against the dark tree.

Ah! I had always thought of them as 'cow slips'! Makes much more sense (almost) as cows lips. Pretty.
