Waterless water feature by dulciknit

Waterless water feature

We had a couple of days sunshine yesterday and Monday and Lester and I went to the Savill Garden both days. I was going to try and get some shots of this water feature in action but it wasn't, so I got some shots of it out of action instead. **

A couple of 365 chums and I went to the Veolia Environnement Wildlife Photographer of the year 2012 today - it's currently on at the Tring Natural History Museum (about 15 minutes' drive away from me). There were some wonderful shots and it was great to look, think and (hopefully) see. The lad who won the Young Wildlife Photographer comes from Buckinghamshire. He was runner up to himself in the category he entered as well!

** There's a detail shot of it with the water running here : http://365project.org/dulciknit/365/2014-05-17

Very cool shot, Alison. And I love that ruffled raven; thanks for the interesting link.

It may not be operational, but in a sense it is still operating, as a focal point feature. I do like the glass-like reflections. The blue reflection has echoes of a dragonfly wing, which is apt it being a water feature and all.

I love this, it really tricks the eye - you don't know whether there is water or not, or where it is. Great shot!

Beautiful composition. Great POV.

Great pov, that's the spirit... Not to be beaten just because there was no water action!
