Friday in Canterbury, late afternoon by dulciknit

Friday in Canterbury, late afternoon

One of those better on large view ones if you have a moment.
Lester and I had a day in Canterbury, Kent, yesterday, one of those delivering melodeon days out. :-)
This is a view of Canterbury town centre.

I was surprised and completely bowled over to find Steps Up in the TT. Thank you so very much for all the great feedback that put it there and thank you for the time you take to view and comment on all my photos, it's very much appreciated.
Oh, how lovely. I haven't been there for years but it doesn't look as if it's changed too much.

Wonderful dynamic scene. One of the things I love about it is the contrast between the older historic buildings and the young people in the shot.Great story--fav

Great street shot, We visited here a few years ago, lovely place.

Instant fav! Beautiful shot of this charming setting -- so very Dickensonian! Is that the Canterbury Cathedral in the background?
December 10th, 2013
@cimes1 Thank you, Carole. Yes indeed, that's Canterbury Cathedral. I'm impressed by your knowledge.
December 10th, 2013
@dulciknit I wouldn't have known. I looked up cathedral-Canterbury on google to find out what it was because I thought it was so beautiful in the background. I've only been to England once in the 60s and then it was only for 2 days in London. The highlight of my visit was seeing My Fair Lady at the Drury Lane Theatre.

This is an amazing shot, so beautiful. I got so excited too, as the tiny tim shop I was convinced was the source of your 'window thingy' in tomorrows shot but no taken on different days.
The Cathedral looks gorgeous

Fantastic street scene! You have a knack of capturing scenes with so much activity and so many things to look at, but they never look cluttered and busy! Just love them! Fav! Definitely view large!
December 10th, 2013
@claireuk Thank you, Claire. Sorry for the confusion, they were taken on the same day but processed on different days, the processing date is the one that gets saved and comes up for some reason. The mirror thingy was in a fashion shop and the reflection is a bit of the street plus a toy shop window.
December 10th, 2013
@dulciknit Of course, I had forgotten that it is your processing date that shows! So I was close but no cigar:0) It is certainly a beautiful place, love the window thingy so me!
December 10th, 2013
I love the feeling of the evening air accented by the all the glow from the surrounding shop windows, and of course, nice to see Tiny Tim make an appearance. :)
