Taken at Bletchley Park yesterday. The weather wasn't very good but we wanted to get out for a while and Bletchley's always worth a visit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bletchley_Park

Nice composition. A trip to Bletchley is on my list for this year. I've been once but that was before they had the big lottery grant and before I had my children. Think we'd all enjoy a trip back.
@rachelwithey Thank you, Rachel. They are in the middle of building a new visitor centre at the moment and the grounds are in a bit of a mess. The visitor centre is due to open is June.
I like both shots Alison, but this one is brilliantly composed and is a fav. Bletchley Park is on our list, Ben would love it. I also want to travel on the railway from Bedford. Turing deserves his place in history, but the persecution he received after he war is to our eternal shame, even though times were different. I hope you don't mind me saying so?
Both lovely shots. Would love to have the talent to create something so beautiful. Like the composition with main focus on the statue on one side with the lighting highlighting the textures in the statue, his head leaning forward and the visitors in the background leaning forward over the display case in opposite direction.
Very cool capture. Love the depth of field in this. Of course you could not really go wrong with the texture given the nature of the depth of darkness in the piece. Anyway, a great interpretation. Nicely done.
However, what really makes it for me is the pallet. I like the colour pallet. The russets, reds, purples and greys are very complementary. The woman's top really pulls it all together. Nice work.
I really must get to Bletchly one day. I really admire what went on there and have read a lot on it. So must go.
I like this one the best too. Love the texture and the capture of him seemingly looking intently down, almost thinking. The people in the background also looking adds to the feel of interest in the subject.
I immediate thought of Bletchley even before I read the caption. What a detailed and amazing sculpture. It looks like it is composed of mechanical typewriter arms (or whatever they are called)
