hmmmm i am not convinced it is selective colouring, but i might be wrong, but then i am never right when you do your "ababstracts" :)

You come up with those most interesting abstracts - It's quite a skill you have to be able to spot in on what might make an awesome abstract.

@phil_howcroft There was colour in the other elements of the shot, but very little. It was caused mainly by the lubricating oil that had coated the metal and darkened over time. I wanted the little brass thingy to stand out, though, so I removed what colour there was from the rest of the shot.
