With the benefit of hindsight I would have liked the foreground to be more in focus but it's not too bad.

@jenrobcarr Aaah, there's a nice lake for them just a hundred yards or so to the left. I think they were off for an afternoon walk ! As it's 29th, maybe Dilly had something to ask Donald. :-)

An attractive capture. Love the tree on the right, almost a burnished colour. Strange earth shaping, I guess this was a river path, its hard to tell.

@dulciknit The light is lovely in it.. I wonder whether it is because it was overcast that you got that all over lit effect. I've been trying to think what it reminds me of and have remembered - Scottish paintings, usually with a stag and grouse in it. It was the ducks standing in for grouse that did it. :-)

@bigsusan55 The light in the shot may well have been down to that and also there's no leaf canopy at the mo. to cast any shadows. Just for once I chose my own settings and may well have got lucky with those, too - and believe me, it's very hit-and-miss and probably will be for some time to come! And that's all part of the fun, of course.
