North Unity School

The North Unity School was built around 1856 of the horizontal log construction that is to traditional the Czechs and Bavarian Germans.

Its very quaint but I suspect not very comfortable in weather extremes!

I can imagine how proud they must have been to establish a school for their children. We look at this and see all the drafty spots etc. but to them it was hope for a better future. Good shot.
