Fynbos grass by eleanor

Fynbos grass

I took Greg up to Elgin for a week-end camp and we were a little early so I was invited to spend some time "looking for something to photograph". I was delighted to find this grass glowing in the afternoon sunlight, rich and ripe.
It is harvest time in your world, right? That is one of the amazing things that I love on this site: You see something totally outside your own season and ask yourself "how in the world..." And then you realize people live some where else around the globe.

Spot on - I'm in South Africa, southern hemisphere, living in Cape Town at the southern point of the continent. We are in the middle of autumn / fall - expecting the first big storm to hit in the next two days. The ancient mariners called this "The Cape of Storms" for good reason.
