On a lawn in the Company Gardens near the National Art Gallery, you will find these contributions to the "Not all is black and white" campaign.
The red zebra in the foreground is accompanied by Mandela's quote "No one can be at peace while others wallow in poverty and insecurity". Designed by Loyiso Qanya, the piece reflects names of streets and suburbs that are still, 15 years on, in need of extensive redevelopment or refurbishment. I'm certain that the paint peeling off the zebra is part of the art.
In the distance you can see Mark Hennings and Hannah William's work, reflecting the Mandela quote: "We operate in a world which is searching for a better life - without the imprisonment of dogma."
