I've always called them black olives, but look at the colour ... they are perfectly colour-coded for this week's purple theme!
Picture taken at Imhoff's Gift Farm-stall. They have a wonderful range of olives. I'm especially fond of the salty, half dried ones but they look very bleak in a photo! These, on the other hand, have a wonderful gloss from the oil.

Normally, I hold back on olives and don't eat a lot of them. But as soon as I see them I get a craving. This summer my daughter and I bought them and started eating in the car already. They were almost gone by the time we came home. Now, what do I do with this picture and my cravings on a Sunday night at 8:20? :-)
