It's one of the all-time great Cape Town traditions - Carols by Candlelight at Kirstenbosch. After endless days of howling south-easters we had a wind-free evening, and it was perfect. I am so glad that I live in the southern hemisphere and can enjoy all these wonderful Christmas traditions in decent weather!
The Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens have a magnificent open-air concert venue where concerts are held every Sunday evening through the summer. You bring your own picnic, and sit on the grass. There is no better way to end the day.
