Joining a number of other famous landmarks around the world, Table Mountain is awash in a glow of green light as a St Patrick's Day tribute to the Irish Charities who have done so much, building homes for the poor in our city. Led by the Niall Mellon Township Trust, over 15 000 homes have been built in Cape Town and the surrounding areas since 2002. Funded for the most part by individuals from Ireland who have given both money and their building skills, the Trust builds homes and runs skills development programs. All Capetonians say Thank you, and we hope it's been a special St Patrick's Day.

Oh Wow - that's awesome!!! I actually took some township shots of Imizamo Yethu in the early days when Niall was just starting up the project. Did not realise so many houses that been build under that trust. Amazing!!!
