The whales have arrived. by eleanor

The whales have arrived.

Southern Right whales come to the Cape Peninsula and Southern Cape every year to calve. Around sunset, we watched them moving steadily in the direction of Hout Bay. Then this one stopped to frolic outside the Twelve Apostles Hotel.

Update: Looking at other photos taken this evening, we believe that this may be a Bryde's Whale.
Beautiful capture!
