@eleanor In that case, I second what @pollyphotos says. I have a 17 year old who used to love art... until his GCSE teacher put him off it for life. Not only did he lose his enjoyment of art as a subject, he lost his enjoyment of art itself. He no longer wants to visit galleries or look at interesting works. When we went to Lanzarote last summer, we got to visit Cesar Manrique's home and view his private art collection. My son whizzed through it in record time and went and sat outside eating ice cream, while I oohed and aahed. I could have stayed there for hours, but I didn't want to put pressure on him. I am hoping that time will heal the damage done. Some teachers don't realise the impact they have on a child's life beyond the school gates!
I've come back to this a couple of times ,trying to decide what to say !
So - great composition , like the way the blue behind the hand makes it the focal point , IOW - the artist , not the result is the most important subject !
@glyn You are such a dear, but please don't ever feel you have to say anything. Some pictures just aren't comment-able (a.k.a only a mother could love that child ...!)
