Pincushions by the glass

I found a single head of a 'Pincushion' protea flower (Leucospermum cordifolium) broken off from it's stem. It's now sitting pretty in a wine glass on our kitchen windowsill.

It looks gorgeous in the glass. How long did it survive in the water? i usually see these as dried flowers.

@cmt2812 Finally today (21 Nov) it's looking too tired and I've tossed it out - so it lasted two weeks. I did have to change the water every day, though.
