The supper queue

Michael has at least five varieties of food that he puts out in the garden for wild birds. This means that most days we are seeing up to 10 different species in the garden.

But top of the pecking order are the ubiquitous doves and pigeons. They've taken to waiting in a tree when they feel it's time for supper. Some evenings they are lined up in rows, waiting.

And then there's the squirrels who have learned to come out and get their nuts before the pigeons eat those too. That's for another day's photo.
